We were quite surprised by the variety and size of Harrods. It was pretty big – there was a pet shop (complete with it’s own bakery that sold Puppy cup cakes), Hummer golf carts, personal watercraft, multiple food halls and restaurants, equestrian clothing and equipment, £60k Persian carpets, designer furniture and lighting (ceiling to floor Swarovski crystal chandeliers), musical instruments, 3D TV’s plus all the other normal sections. And we were thinking it was just a fancy Myers/David Jones… I don’t think Myers will start stocking saddles and jodhpurs any time soon.
After Harrods we made a trip to Tate Modern and spent the afternoon looking at art - Tate Modern is the national gallery of international modern art. It was created in the year 2000 from a disused power station in the heart of London.
