On Sunday we saw the sunset at Mindell Beach it was pretty despite the crowds. Hundreds of people come to see the sunset and walk around the markets where there is culturally diverse food, art, crocodile and barramundi skin souvenirs.
There is no surf in Darwin and the sun sets over the water – very different to Queensland beaches. The tides change by about 5-6m as well.
We went to the Territory Wildlife Park and Berry Springs for the day.
A Black Breasted Buzzard, the only bird in the world that uses a tool to get to its food demonstrated this to us by using a rock to open an emu egg (they used a plaster of paris copy with meat inside).
We also met the parks Albino Python (cream and yellow skin) who was named Lady Gaga...
There was also an Aquarium, Nocturnal house, Dingos, Crocs, and Fresh Water Whip Rays.
A short drive down the road from the wildlife park is Berry Springs we had warm swim here. There is a small overhang just big enough for your head so you can sit behind the water rushing past.
